This is largely attributed to a construction boom been experienced in the region. The construction boom is projected to last up to 2022 making the field lucrative. 

An electrician’s salary is dependent on several factors such as the kind of license you have, the years of experience you possess and demand in your local town.

Electrician Salary Hawaii for Apprentices 

The only way to join an apprenticeship program is through the Hawaii Electricians Training Fund {HETF}. To qualify, you must be 18 years old and pass a general aptitude test. Other requirements are:

  • Have a GED 
  • Be a US citizen  
  • Complete and pass an oral interview

Before becoming an apprentice, you must also join a technical trade school.
